House Rules 5 - Pitchers Fatigue

 Pitcher Control/Fatigue

 Starters:

• A Starting Pitcher can only pitch 1 time every 4 games.  Your starting rotation is determined by salary.

Your highest salary pitcher is #1 in your rotation.

• If a pitcher pitches past the IP listed on his card, his control goes down -1 for each inning.  A pitcher can go below 0 control.

• If a starting pitcher gives up at least 4 ER (earned runs) the pitcher loses 1 inning from his allowed IP for the first 4 runs and an additional inning for each 2 ER after that.

EXAMPLE: at 8 ER the pitcher loses -3 IP  (-1 at 4 plus -1 at 6 plus -1 at 8)

• A starting pitcher also loses 1 IP for every 4 BB (not including Intentional Walks)

• EXTRA IP:

• A) The first inning that your starter would be tired, if he’s not given up any runs, he gets +1 IP.  Once he’s given up a run he immediately loses this extra IP.

• B)  If after the second inning that your starter would be tired, if he has still not given up a hit, he gets an additional +1IP.  Once he gives up a hit he will immediately lose this extra IP.

• If the first hit is a HR then the pitcher would immediately lose the +1 IP from A as well as the +1 IP from B. If he only gives up a hit then the pitcher would only lose the +1 IP from B and would still maintain the +1 from A until a run is scored.

Bullpen (Relievers & Closers):

• A Reliever/Closer can pitch 2 games in a row but may not pitch the 3rd game.

• For a Reliever, 3 outs = 1 Inning.  If a Reliever/Closer gives up 1 ER they will lose 1 IP.

• A Reliever/Closer also loses 1/3 of an inning (1 out) for each BB (not including Intentional Walks)

• A Pitcher is tired if he pitched in 2 consecutive games for any amount of pitches, Pitched Tired in the previous game, or Pitched more than 1 inning.

• If the pitcher pitched for more then:

              • 1 inning (3 outs) they are tired until they rest one game.

              • 2 innings (6 outs) they are tired until they rest 2 games.

              • 3 innings (9 outs) they are tired until they rest 3 games.

              • 4 innings (12 outs) they are tired until they rest 4 games.

EXAMPLE:  (“x” is a rest day): • 1 IP: 1/1/x or 2/x       2 IP: 2/x/2/x or 1/2/x       3 IP: 3/x/x or 2/x or 1/3/x/x or 1/2/x
